Set Up an Ergonomic Desk Without Buying New Furniture
You don't need a standing desk to work comfortably. Most discomfort comes from a screen that's too low and tools that are too far away. Both are easy and inexpensive to fix.

Raise the screen to eye level
The top of your monitor should sit at or just below eye level so your neck stays neutral. A riser does this instantly — and gives you a drawer underneath for the things crowding your desk.
Keep what you use within a forearm's reach
Pens, notes, and your phone should be inside a comfortable arc. Anything you reach for often but keep far away becomes a small repeated strain.
Get the cables off the floor
Cables underfoot are a trip hazard and a visual one. Routing them through a tray and into a box clears the floor and the mind.

Tools that help

Lift the screen, hide the clutter, find the drawer.

Send the cable chaos under the desk and out of sight.
